You can restore a bracket of health instantly by entering a locker, which also removes the bleeding effect. However, the bleeding effect is a modifier for Psychotherapy, and if you get hit and start bleeding, you're probably still getting chased by an enemy, so it's a bad idea to go into a hiding spot where you can be caught.
